Rubén Martínez - Jury of Freak Painting Wars 2020
I entered the world of miniatures many years ago when I discovered a game called Heroquest. Since then, I've been an enthusiast of board games and painting of miniatures, in which I have been working as a professional for more than ten years, seven of them with my colleagues at Bigchild Creatives.
As a painter I always enjoy playing with new concepts, among them the color and the play of lights and shadows are my favorite. Besides, I enjoy a lot the composition within the scenes and working the bases as an integral part of the figure.
Fortunately, this has helped me to win numerous international awards in contests such as Golden Demon, San Savino, SMC, Mossonshow, Ciudad de Leganes and the BOS in the last edition of Freak Wars.
As a judge, I have participated in numerous events such as Concurso de modelismo estático Ciudad de Leganés, Mossonshow and Monte San Savino among others, and this year I have the huge pleasure of being able to collaborate with Freak Wars as a jury of the painting contest. Last year was an incredible experience for me as a participant, so I would like to encourage you to participate in this contest, and this year with the exceptional novelty of not having to go out of your house!
