Freak Wars 2026: Record-Breaking Numbers and Unforgettable Moments!

Still recovering from the excitement of everything we experienced this weekend, we're putting together this post with the key figures from Freak Wars 2026.

During the weekend of September 12th and 13th, over 9,000 geeks gathered at the Pabellón de Cristal in Casa de Campo. That's a record-breaking figure for our event—while we've hit numbers like this before, we had never done so as a ticketed event.

We've never had a Freak Wars this big in floor space, with so many participating organizations, or with such a huge crowd. So, quite simply, thank you. Now we can proudly say loud and clear that we are the biggest event for wargames, miniature painting, board games, and cosplay in Spain.

Here are the key numbers for Freak Wars:

• Over 9,000 attendees throughout the weekend (5,000 on Saturday and 4,000 on Sunday)
• Over 500 competitors across 19 tournaments
• More than 240 participating entities, including vendors, media outlets, clubs, and artists
• 27 international brands
• 1,100 entries submitted to the art contests
• Over 30 talks, workshops, and masterclasses led by industry professionals
• 40 cosplayers taking the main stage

All of this was only possible because both the 10-person organizing team and nearly 60 volunteers poured their hearts into making it happen. Every single staff member works selflessly under the umbrella of the Asociación La Posada del Friki. Without their energy, enthusiasm, and hard work, none of this would have been possible.

We know there is always room for improvement, but we're also proud of how far we've come, the hurdles we've overcome along the way, and how we managed to turn a dream shared by three friends into the biggest hobby event in Spain.
