How to capture the viewer's gaze through composition, chiaroscuro, and academic tradition.

Why do some miniatures immediately capture our attention while others go unnoticed, even if technically well-painted? In this talk, we will explore how the great masters of painting, from Ribera and Velázquez to El Greco and Sorolla, used chiaroscuro, composition, and visual hierarchy to guide the viewer's eye. Through practical examples and a brief live demonstration, we will see how to apply these principles to miniature painting to create pieces with greater visual impact, better readability, and a clearer narrative, regardless of the painter's style or skill level.

This talk will be given in Spanish.
