In this talk, we'll explore my entire process for painting natural fur on miniatures and animal busts. From studying natural references, we'll examine the aspects I consider to achieve the most natural and believable effect for the viewer. We'll cover all the key techniques and tricks for creating a smooth, painterly texture, painting on the miniature as if it were a flat canvas. The goal is to break down each step so that attendees can closely observe how I load the brush, how I apply the paint, and how I use varying degrees of consistency to generate volume and detail in the piece.
