Youth/Family Cosplay Contest FW '26

Welcome!!

The cosplay contest is always one of the big challenges at Freak Wars, but it's not just adults who enjoy creating their costumes… the younger ones do too!!

That’s why, for another year, we are holding the Kids, Youth, and Family Cosplay Contest, designed so that the little ones can participate, show off their creativity and, above all, have a great time.

And it’s not just them: many families have a blast preparing a cosplay for their little one together, helping with the outfits, the ideas, or even accompanying them on stage. A fantastic experience to share!

Theme

As with the rest of the Freak Wars contests, cosplays must be based on the world of wargames.

This includes universes of miniatures and fantasy battles, but also many worlds that younger fans know well. For example:

• Warhammer or Warhammer 40,000

• Star Wars

• The Lord of the Rings

• Warcraft

• Marvel

• Game of Thrones

And also other universes with battles, adventures, or fantastic creatures that fit perfectly with the spirit of the hobby, such as:

• Pokémon

• Super Mario

• Zelda

• Sonic

• Avatar: The Last Airbender

• How to Train Your Dragon

If the character belongs to a universe with adventures, battles, or fantastic creatures, they definitely have a place at Freak Wars!

Family Category

What does the Family Cosplay Contest consist of? It's very simple.

Any child up to 12 years old can participate in this category accompanied by family members or guardians, creating a small scene or group of characters together.

It is a fun way to participate as a family and for the little ones to feel like the stars while sharing the moment with those who helped them prepare their cosplay.

Other categories

In addition to the family category, the contest will feature the following categories:

• Kids (under 10 years old)

• Youth (from 10 to 17 years old)

• Pairs

The youth category will have an approach closer to the general cosplay contest, with special value placed on creativity, the work on the costume, and character portrayal.

Free Registration

Registration is free (although you must have a ticket to the event).

And for families thinking about participating: the cosplay doesn't need to be perfect or professional. In the kids and family categories, the most important thing is enthusiasm, creativity, and the desire to have fun.

So if you have a little hero, adventurer, rebel pilot, or fantasy warrior at home… come and join in!
