It has been one of the questions we have received the most in recent months: When are the Artistic Contests coming out? Well, now we have an answer, because today we have published the page, rules, and registrations for this new edition of the Freak Wars Artist Contests.
So yes, you can now register for an edition that brings several new features. First, a new Scale Models area. As you know, Freak Wars '28 (my goodness, so far yet so close) will host the World Model Expo in Madrid. Naturally, the world championship features a scale model section, so this year we are introducing it for the first time to ensure everything is under control when the time comes. So now is the time: prepare your favorite scale model piece and bring it along for all the event's visitors to enjoy.
The scale models section includes both Standard and Master divisions, as it couldn't be any other way, and several categories such as naval, aviation, science fiction, and more. A whole area that we hope will be filled with spectacular scale models and, furthermore, complete the historical component of the contest even further.
But we will have more updates. This contest is very special to us, and that is why we are preparing a deployment unlike anything we have ever done before. In fact, after our time at La Nave, we enjoyed having an exclusive space for the contest so much that we are going to replicate it at the Pabellón de Cristal. The new space will be like stepping into a miniature art museum—a place where your works can shine at the highest level, as they deserve, and with a path that is easy to follow. We can't wait to see it up and running with all your masterpieces displayed in all their glory.
And of course, the younger ones of the house are also invited. Last year we saw a huge increase in entries from the young promises of the miniature world, and we hope to see even more this year. Remember that you can submit works for young promises in all categories.
And that is all for now. While you work on your entries, we will keep putting the finishing touches on the new space and the remaining artistic contests yet to be published.
