Artist Contests

The Freak Wars contests will take place throughout the event on September 12 and 13, 2026 and they host hobby categories and also cosplay.

In order to participate, you must have a Freak Wars ticket for both days as well as register for the contest

If you've never participated in Freak Wars, we encourage you to check out last year's winners to get a better idea of ​​which level you should enter.

New: This year we have a new area: Scale models. As a new step in out path to the World Model Expo, the Scale model area now belongs to the Freak Wars Artis Contests. Check out the legal bases to discover all the subcategories for this new area.

This year we have created a single activity form for the painting, sculpture, illustration and scale models contests. In addition, registration and payment are done through the Emperor app.

Below are the rules for Freak Artist Wars, the art contest that includes areas of painting, sculpture, illustration and scale models for both divisions, Standard and Master:

Jury

Each year, the jury for the artistic contests grows along with the expansion of the contest categories.

Prizes not collected during the awards ceremony may be collected throughout the day in the contest area until the closing time of the event, but will not be sent. It is each contestant's responsibility to check/inquire about receiving any uncollected prizes.

The Pabellón de Cristal is located within the Casa de Campo fairgrounds, in the city of Madrid, an area very well connected by:

Metro

  • Lago (Line 10)

  • Puerta del Ángel or Alto de Extremadura (Line 6, the circular line).

There is no Cercanías station right next to the venue, but one option is:

  • Travel to Príncipe Pío by Cercanías and from there walk or combine with other transport options to reach the Pabellón de Cristal.
