Freak Artist Wars 2026: Painting, Illustration, Sculpting and Scale Models

We are pleased to present Freak Artist Wars 2026. We are sure you will enjoy the contest and we would be delighted if you could be part of the event.

We have also prepared a quick summary with the most relevant information, but remember to read the full details of the contest on the legal bases document.

• DATE: 12 and 13 September 2026
   
• MAXIMUM NUMBER OF WORKS: 10 per each area of the contest
   
• DEADLINE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION: To avoid delays in the delivery of the works and an increase in the registration fees, we recommend that participants register to the contest, pay the registration fee and register their works online before 4 September  at 23:59 (GMT+2) through the Emperor web application of this year.
   
• FORMAT OF WORKS:
  Sculpture: Works must be presented physically (traditional sculpture, or 3D printed copy if it is a digital sculpture)
  Illustration: 1 print in din A3 size of each work
  Painting and Scale Models: To help ensure that everyone has space for their work, if your works are larger than 30cm x 30cm, please email contests@freakwarsmadrid.com with the dimensions of those works so that they can be validated
   
• DEADLINE FOR DELIVERY OF WORKS: 
  Participants who have registered their works online (even if they need to make modifications): Saturday 12 September from the opening until 13:00 (GMT+2)
  Participants who will register their works on-site: Saturday 12 September from 11:00 (GMT+2) until 13:00 (GMT+2)
   
• SCHEDULE FOR COLLECTION OF WORKS: Sunday 13 September from the end of the awards ceremony until 16:00h (GMT+2)
   
• AWARD CEREMONY DATE: Sunday 13 September at 13:00h (GMT+2) on the Freak Wars main stage
   
• PRICE:
  Online registration: 15€ per participant (not per work submitted)
  On-site registration:  30€ per participant (not per work submitted)
  Modification of works registered on the day of the event: 8€ extra per participant (not per work submitted)
  
  For each registration, 1€ will be donated to charity.
  Remember that you must have a ticket for both days of the event, as the delivery of works is on Saturday and the collection of works on Sunday.
